Dr. Lucille Corti Science College is a Catholic founded private secondary school with a science biased curriculum and with preference in admission given to girls.
Founded in 2014 by the Little Sisters of Mary Immaculate of Gulu (LSMIG) under the supervision and guidance of the Ministry of Education and Sports and and Gulu Archdiocese, the mixed Boarding school sits in Koro sub-county in the northern Uganda district of Gulu.
The school was named in honor of a great woman doctor – Lucille Corti. She and her husband Dr. Pierro Corti founded St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor, in Gulu District. She was the personal doctor of all the Little Sisters of Mary Immaculate of Gulu until the time of her death from a disease she contracted while treating her patients.
To Little Sisters, Dr. Lucille(RIP) is a heroine and a saint, and hopefully, many children who study in this school will become medical doctors or take up science related careers.
